Karimeen : Trip to Akalapuzha

On August 24th, 2024, Duxford International Business School (DIBS) organized a memorable trip for its new PGDM batch, officially titled “DUX-IN TRIP: Karimeen,” at Akalapuzha, Calicut. This exciting getaway aimed to foster harmony and friendship among students and faculty, helping them bond in an informal, relaxed setting.

The name “Karimeen,” symbolizing local culture and heritage, added a unique touch to the trip, blending cultural appreciation with leisure. The scenic beauty of Akalapuzha provided a perfect backdrop for students and faculty to connect, engage in meaningful conversations, and strengthen relationships outside the academic environment. This experience successfully set the tone for a collaborative and supportive academic journey ahead.

World Entrepreneurs’ Day

On August 21st, 2024, in celebration of World Entrepreneurs’ Day, Duxford International Business School (DIBS) hosted an exclusive Entrepreneurship Case Analysis Competition for its students, in collaboration with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC). This event gave DIBS students the chance to analyze real-world business challenges and present innovative solutions.

The competition encouraged critical thinking and creative problem-solving, offering participants a platform to showcase their entrepreneurial skills. Students worked in teams to propose strategies that addressed complex business scenarios, fostering teamwork and practical application of their classroom learning.

With feedback from industry experts and seasoned entrepreneurs, the event became an invaluable experience for DIBS students. It provided them not only a chance to demonstrate their abilities but also an opportunity to learn and grow from direct mentorship, enhancing their entrepreneurial mindset for the future.

D’talk – Sabil Abdullakutty

Duxford International Business School, in partnership with the Institution’s Innovation Council, organized an engaging one-day workshop on “The Art of Selling” on August 20, 2024. The event provided attendees with key insights into effective sales strategies, practical negotiation techniques, and methods to enhance customer engagement. Designed for aspiring professionals and entrepreneurs, it offered a deep dive into the essentials of successful selling.

Mr. Sabil Abdullakutty, a respected leader in the business world, led the workshop. With extensive experience at major companies such as Uni, BharatPe, BYJU’s, and OYO, he brought valuable real-world knowledge to the table. Throughout the session, Mr. Abdullakutty shared his expertise in business development and sales leadership. His personal stories and industry insights inspired participants to sharpen their skills and rethink their approach to sales.

The workshop had a clear impact, encouraging attendees to develop innovative strategies, adapt to market demands, and strengthen their overall sales acumen. By focusing on actionable techniques and real-life examples, the event helped participants build confidence and gain tools to succeed in the competitive world of business.

Mr. Fareed Rahmani, Managing Director and CEO of Duxford Edupark, welcomed the students warmly. He encouraged them to make the most of the learning opportunities ahead. Prof. S. Exordium 2.0

On July 29, 2024, Duxford Edupark celebrated its first anniversary with a grand event titled Exordium 2.0. The occasion was graced by esteemed guests, including P.K. Basheer, MLA of Ernad Constituency, and Shoukathali SP, Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch, Alappuzha. The celebration also featured prominent dignitaries such as V.P. Muhammed Ali, Chairman of Duxford Edupark; Fareed Rahmani, CEO & MD of Duxford Edupark; Ashraf Erambath, Finance Director; along with Vice Chairman Abdul Muhaimin and Abdul Majeed P.K.

The event marked a significant milestone in Duxford Edupark’s journey, reflecting on achievements over the past year while outlining the vision for the future. It was a gathering of innovation, inspiration, and collaboration, highlighting the commitment of Duxford Edupark to fostering a vibrant educational community.

The event featured an esteemed panel of guests, including the chief guest Dr. Jolly Antony, Founder and CEO of Alsafina Travel and Tourism, UAE and India. Key speakers also included Mr. Fareed Rahmani, Managing Director and CEO of Duxford Edupark, and Prof. S. Ganesan, Director of DIBS. Additional notable attendees were Ashraf Erambath, Finance Director of Duxford Edupark; Dr. Misab PT, COO of Duxford Edupark; Dr. Suhail Palakkode, Dean of Academics at DIBS; Dr. Muhammed Rafi, Assistant Professor of DIBS; and Dr. Gayathri H, Associate Professor of DIBS. The orientation aimed to introduce students to the academic environment, resources, and opportunities available at DIBS, while inspiring them through the insights shared by the speakers.

World Environment Day 2024

On June 5, 2024, Duxford International Business School (DIBS) celebrated World Environment Day by organizing a tree-planting event. This initiative aimed to emphasize the importance of environmental conservation within the campus community. The event featured a symbolic tree planting conducted by MD & CEO Fareed Rahmani and Principal Prof. Dr. Alavi Bin Muhammed Bin Ahammed AP.

This initiative underscored DIBS’s commitment to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness. The tree-planting ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the collective responsibility to preserve the environment for future generations. It also set a positive tone for ongoing eco-friendly practices at Duxford International Business School.

Signing MoU with INTI International University, Malaysia.

The DIBS team is thrilled to announce that we have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic and strategic collaboration with INTI International University, Malaysia. This landmark agreement marks the beginning of a dynamic partnership aimed at enhancing the educational experience and broadening opportunities for our students and faculty.

Through this collaboration, DIBS will launch a range of exciting joint degree programs, providing students with the opportunity to gain global perspectives and study in a transnational environment. The partnership will also open doors for student and faculty exchange programs, allowing participants to immerse themselves in new cultures, expand their academic and professional networks, and gain first-hand international experience.

In addition to academic exchanges, this collaboration will foster research partnerships, enabling joint research initiatives that combine the expertise and strengths of both institutions.
